MEET JON
Rev. Jon Olson has extensive experience working with couples and officiating weddings. In addition to his work as a wedding officiant, he also draws from two decades of practical church ministry experience. This means that he was ordained to perform weddings by serving couples over the course of many years, not by mail order or by paying a fee to some obscure website that ordains wedding ministers.
In Jon's words: "I absolutely love weddings! I have performed weddings for couples of every possible background in every imaginable setting for groups of almost every size (from no guests to over 500). And yet every single wedding is a special, memorable, and truly life-changing experience. I'd love to put my more than 20 years of experience to work for you!"
Jon is a dynamic communicator and draws frequently upon his training and background: he also has experience as a DJ and Music Director in commercial radio, has served as a Broadcast Host for Microsoft, and is a seasoned public speaker and speechwriter.
He earned his Doctorate from George Fox University, Masters of Divinity from Western Seminary, and BA in Communication Studies from San Jose State University.
Additionally, Jon has traveled extensively internationally and relates well to people of all cultures. The diversity of Southern California is one of the things he loves about this area.
Finally, Jon loves motorcycles and often shows up for weddings having traveled on two wheels, thus earning him the nickname "The Motorcycle Minister."
